Le Peintre en Decor Bois

2

Paris, Impr. r. Suger.3

Eight plates showing different wood structures as an example for painting. This used to be quite common in the 19th Century. Nowadays it's a specialist art. The plates were covered by varnish, which has severely yellowed over time.

Donated by Antiquariaat Kleinood, Amsterdam. Edited by Sytske Wijnsma.
