Das Spitzenklöppeln

Anleitung an vierunddreiszig Mustern die Klöppelarbeit gründlich zu erlernen.

Eugen Twietmeijer, Leipzig

Although the text is in fraktur script and probably not an easy read (as well as German) the illustrations are fabulous, in clear black and white the lace pattern, and an engraving of the resulting lace. This edition is the third, indicating that the book must have sold well at the time. And with every new edition new patterns were added. No separate pattern sheets, but with copy-paste-print that shouldn't be a big problem. Some nice illustrations of antique lacemaking tools as well.

Book donated by Antiquariaat Lont, scanned by Seya Wijnsma-Spek, edited by Sytske Wijnsma.
